Marist Fashion brunch examines underside of apparel industry

Market that moves around gorgeous outfits, superstars and stunning driveway shows has a problem created by individual trafficking, low salaries and industries that contaminate the surroundings.

That was the content regarding the style market provided Weekend at it all version of The Situation, an yearly occasion held by the Marist Higher education Style System for learners. The Situation on Weekend took place at the college’s Payne House in Esopus, Ulster Nation, and presented as its presenter Angel Age Moore, writer of “Threadbare: Outfits, Sex & Trafficking.”

“It’s important that learners, yes, see the charm,” said Rich Kramer, mature professional presenter popular and art at Marist, which is located in the Town of Poughkeepsie. “But very little of the business is actually charm. “We are able to put on events like this and experience what it would be like, rather than being tossed into the market after graduating,” said Marist mature Allyson Santacroce.

The Marist Style System also levels the yearly Gold Hook Runway and Prizes. Calvin Klein and Giorgio Armani are among the firms that have accepted Marist Scholars as interns and employed them as workers.

“Our kids need to understand that we need to be more maintainable, more eco-friendly,” Kramer said.
