Schiaparelli Rises From Fashion Death to Paris Haute Couture

Schiaparelli is now among the 15 fashion houses who have the right to call themselves haute couture

(AFP) - Style brand Schiaparelli finished its amazing resurrection Wednesday when it was awarded with a top level positions of London developer brands.

The ancient product established by the Elsa Schiaparelli, the great competing of Coco Chanel in the Thirties, shut its gates in 1954, the season that Chanel came back to the business after her war time break.

It only came back to the podiums three years ago after the name was purchased and enhanced by the the manager of the French product Tod, Paul Della Valle.

The France Style Federation said it was also including the 41-year-old France developer Julien Fournie to its highly-prized sign-up.

The status is secured by France law and linked specifically by the secretary of state for industry to chosen homes whose outfits are designed to each customer.

With its hand crafted items completely within the cost range of the world's wealthiest women, developer prevails only in London and is considered as the best of favor.

Only 15 fashion brands have the right to call themselves developer.

The others are Chanel, Religious Dior, Givenchy, Jean John Gaultier, Résidence Margiela, Giambattista Valli, Franck Sorbier, Adeline Andre, Alexandre Vauthier, Alexis Mabille, Maurizio Galante, Stephane Rolland and Yiqing Yin.

Another 20 are considered as "guest members" of the club.
